Here Is a Printable Shopping List For Sirtfood Diet
The Sirtfood diet is a diet that continues to be a matter of curiosity and intrigue. But why is the number of the sirtfood dieters increasing day by day? Why do people love this diet so much? Is it really as successful as we’ve been told? To be honest, the requirement to eat only 1000 calories for the first 3 days, which is one of the rules of the diet, may not sound very healthy. Besides not sounding healthy, it really doesn’t look that easy either. So 1000 calories a day… Can you do it? If your answer is yes, then you can stick to this diet.
If this diet sounds confusing to you, let us explain. Actually, it’s not that complicated. There are some nutritional restrictions in the diet. Like we mentioned, you need to consume 1000 calories for the first 3 days, and you don’t have much choice in this regard. You can only consume foods that activate sirtuin proteins.
The name of those specific proteins is sirtuin. It is argued that when you start eating foods that activate these sirtuin proteins, your metabolism will be regulated and fat burning will accelerate. Some theses also argue that this diet delays aging.
How to Apply the Sirtfood Diet
Above, we briefly explained how the diet works and its basic logic. So how exactly is this diet implemented? We will briefly talk about this and share with you the shopping list you need before starting a sirtfood diet.
Instead of applying the Sirtuin diet for life, you can apply it for a 21-day period. The founders of the diet divided it into 2 stages. The first phase of the diet lasts 7 days. However, the first 3 days of the 7-day phase are applied in another category. So, you need to start by restricting calories for the first 3 days. As we mentioned above, you have the right to consume 1000 calories per day. You also need to drink special sirtfood green juice 3 times a day.
The special sirtfood green juice recipe is detailed in the 2nd menu of this article.
During these 3 days, you should only eat 1 meal a day. But of course, juice is not included from the number of meals. We are talking about 1 main meal apart from juice. All meals you choose should be made from foods suitable for the sirtfood diet. After the 4th day, you need to increase the meals to 2 until you complete the week, and reduce the green juice to 2 servings per day. The calories you need to take in this phase are limited to 1500.
On the remaining days (14 days), you can consume as many calories as you want. There is no limit, but everything you eat should still be sirtfood diet-friendly. You should drink green juice at least once a day.
