Egg (12, medium-size)
Cheddar cheese (2.3 cups, shredded – or you can use white cheddar cheese instead)
Cream cheese (7.5 tbsp)
Butter (12 tbsp, melted)
Salt and pepper to taste
Recipe – 10min prep / 45min baking time
Start by preheating the oven.
Oven Temperature: Since this temperature varies according to the oven, find the best temperature for you according to the oven’s baking instructions. But an ideal average temperature is 170° C / 338° F.
Place half of the cheddar cheeses on a round baking tray.
Flatten the cheeses and spread them on the bottom of the tray.
Keep it aside.
Crack 12 eggs into a food processor.
Add cream cheese to it.
Recommendation: Labneh cheese is the best idea if you can find it. But if it’s not in an easily accessible place, ordinary cream cheese will work great too.
Thoroughly mix the eggs and cream cheese in the blender.
After mixing for a while, add melted butter and mix for a short time.
Pour the liquid mixture over the cheddar cheeses you spread on the bottom of the tray.
Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
Tip: At this stage, you can mix your remaining cheddar with any type of cheese you want, or just use the remaining cheddar.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Storage Conditions
You can store your leftover quiche in the refrigerator for 4-5 days, in a storage container. When you want to eat it again, heat it in the microwave and enjoy.
Did you know you can also freeze it? Yes, you can freeze your quiche. But you should do this before going to the oven.
Mix everything except the shredded cheeses, then run the two ingredients separately into ziplock bags and store them in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Everything will be easier when only baking remains.
