  • Garlic (3 cloves, chopped)
  • Ginger (2 1/2 tbsp fresh, grated)

  • Smoked paprika
  • Garam masala
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Ingredients for Butter Sauce

  • Light butter (1 1/2 tbsp)
  • Cashew butter (1 tbsp)
  • Canned diced tomatoes, or tomato paste (2 cans/400g diced tomatoes or 3 tbsp tomato paste)
  • Onion (1/2, slice coarsely)
  • Low-fat Greek yogurt (1 1/2 ounce – 40g)
  • Smoked paprika
  • Turmeric powder
  • Garam masala
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. To start marinating, cut the chicken breasts into small cubes and place them in a large bowl. Add turmeric, salt, pepper, garam masala, and smoked paprika. Grate the ginger and garlic, then add them to the bowl. Finally, add low-fat Greek yogurt and mix all the ingredients well. Put it in the fridge and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. Preheat a non-stick pan. Spray some oil and add the marinated chicken breasts. Fry the chicken on high heat, then set the crispy chicken aside. Meanwhile, boil the pasta.
  3. Wash and clean the pan in which you fried the chicken, then put it back on the stove. Add light butter and melt it. Add the roughly chopped onions, fry them a little, and then add cashew butter. Next, add all the spices, diced tomatoes, and Greek yogurt. Mix well and let it boil. Take the mixture into a blender and blend for 1 minute. Then pour it back into the pan.
  4. Pour 2 ladles of pasta water, fried chicken, and boiled pasta over the sauce. Cook for 5 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally. Optionally, garnish with some light cream and chopped fresh parsley.
