This recipe is so quick to make and can easily be added to your weekly meal plan. All you need is a pan and a few ingredients that are easy to find. If you love bacon, you will love this recipe.

Crunchy and super light in taste, cabbage is such an easy ingredient to incorporate in just about every meal. You can even have it for breakfast.

Its leaves make for a refreshing salad and better yet for soups or stir-fries like the recipe we will share today.

  • 8 slices of bacon cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup onion cut into small pieces
  • 1 green cabbage / remove the head of cabbage and cut into thick pieces and then smaller and set aside
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika


  1. Start by adding the bacon to a nonstick pan over medium heat. Cook the bacon until it's juicy and crunchy, which takes about 3-5 minutes.
  2. To the same pan, add the cabbage, butter, onions, and oil over medium heat. Stir for about 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  3. Continue to cook with frequent stirring until the cabbage is golden with a soft texture, about 7-9 minutes. And voila!


Serve while it’s hot and enjoy. This meal is also freezer-friendly for up to a month with no problem, but we doubt that will be an issue.
