Ingredients

Prepare the chicken

  • Chicken (4 breasts)
  • Olive oil (1 tbsp)
  • Garlic (2 cloves, chopped)
  • Paprika (1/2 tsp)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Fried Chickpeas

  • Chickpea (6 ounces)
  • Hot paprika (1/2 tsp)
  • Salt to taste
  • Cumin (Little less than 1/2 tsp)

For Tahini Sauce Topping

  • Tahini (3 1/2 oz)
  • Lemon juice (Use 1/2 lemon)
  • Water (Little less than 1/2 cup)
  • Garlic (1 clove, crushed)
  • Cumin (Little less than 1/2 tsp)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Cut the chicken breasts into medium but long cuts. Start by preheating a large, non-stick, deep skillet. Put 1 tbsp olive oil in the preheated pan. Then add the chicken breasts. Cook until the chicken releases water and absorbs again.
  • After the chicken breasts have absorbed all the water, add chopped garlic. Then add salt, pepper, and paprika and continue stirring and frying. After the chickens are browned, turn off the stove and keep the chickens aside.
  • Get a clean skillet. Preheat it too. Transfer the boiled chickpeas to this skillet. Finally, add paprika, salt, and cumin. Fry, stirring gently, until the chickpeas and spices combine. Turn off the stove and keep the spicy chickpeas aside.
  • Now it’s time to make the tahini sauce topping, which will give this dish an excellent flavor and creamy appearance. To start preparing the tahini sauce, take the whole tahini in a medium bowl. Add 1 tbsp olive oil to it. Add the cumin.
  • Crush or grate 1 clove of garlic and add that too. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon and add. Finally, add the salt and mix until all the ingredients are well combined.
  • Get a deep, wide serving plate to prepare this amazing dinner plate. Arrange the fried chicken breasts at the bottom of the plate. Sprinkle crispy chickpeas on it. Pour the tahini sauce evenly over the fried chicken breast and chickpeas.
  • Chop some scallions and sprinkle as much as you want at the top of the plate. That’s it! Enjoy your food while it’s still hot.

    Bon appétit!

Notes

  • Optionally, you can add 1 tsp olive oil to the skillet before adding the chickpeas.
  •  While cooking the chickens, do not forget to stir occasionally, but not too often.
