Category: Low Sodium

Our Low Sodium section covers meal plans, food lists, and recipes built for hypertension, cardiac diets, DASH, low-sodium diabetic plans, and low-sodium keto. Coverage includes printable DASH plans, cardiac diet plans, low-sodium fast food picks, low-sodium frozen options, and recipes that hold under 600 mg of sodium per serving and 1,500 to 2,300 mg per day.

Every low-sodium plan is calculated per serving against the Nutritionix database and USDA references so the daily total is tracked, not estimated. Recipes are seasoned with herbs, citrus, garlic, vinegar, and no-salt spice blends instead of table salt, and recipe cards flag potassium (helpful for blood pressure), magnesium, and hidden-sodium ingredients like broth, cured meats, cheese, bread, and condiments so readers can spot and swap them.

Cardiac and hypertension plans are written or reviewed by our Registered Dietitians Brenda Peralta, Kerly Cordova, Marita Radloff, and Karolina Peterova, and medically reviewed by Franco Cuevas, MD. Recipes are tested by our Food Editor Damla Sengul in our Wayne, NJ kitchen. If a sodium number looks off against your label, tell us at social@dietsmealplan.com.
