Editorial note. This 1,500 calorie meal plan is a general guide, not personalized medical advice. If you take insulin or other blood sugar medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are under 18, or have a history of disordered eating, talk to your clinician before starting, since a fixed calorie target may need adjustment for you. Portion container amounts listed here follow the standard 21 Day Fix 1,500 to 1,799 calorie bracket.
Who This Plan Is For
This plan works best if you want a structured week of eating with clear portion limits but do not want to weigh food or count macros in grams. The color coded containers do the measuring for you, so you learn portion sizes visually. It suits people at a maintenance calorie need of roughly 1,800 to 2,100 who want a moderate deficit, and pairs well with the 30 minute daily workouts the program is built around.
- You are new to portion control and want a plug and play system for 21 days
- You cook most of your own meals and want a repeatable weekly template
- You already exercise 3 to 5 days a week and need a matching food framework
- You have tried tracking macros in an app and found it too tedious to sustain
- You want a shorter reset before returning to less structured eating
All About the 21 Day Fix Meal Plan 1500 Calories
Calories are the nutritional value of the foods we eat and drink. Some foods increase their caloric value with improper cooking and unbalanced consumption. If there is a large gap between the calories taken into the body and the energy burned, weight gain occurs, and vice versa. When we equalize these, we can maintain our current weight and continue to eat healthily. In this respect, when we limit the daily calorie intake to 1500-2000 and increase physical activity, it is possible to lose weight.
21 Day Fix Meal Plan 1500 Calories
Breakfast
In the morning, you can add a slice of cheese, four or five olives, a slice of whole-grain bread, unsweetened tea or coffee, low-salt cucumber, tomatoes, parsley, lemon or other greens. You don’t have to eat all of these at once. If you have breakfast around 09.00 am – 10.00 am, take the snack two hours later. You should have at least four hours between each main meal.Snack
You can consume 2 walnuts or 2 nuts and 1 fruit as a snack.Lunch
For lunch, you can have a handful of red or white meat in the oven or boiled. You can consume a bowl of low-fat yogurt, non-fat salad, and two slices of whole-grain bread. The salad must be lean. Every portion of oil you put in a salad makes it a vegetable dish instead of a salad.Snack

Dinner
For dinner, you can consume seven or eight tablespoons of vegetable dishes, five or six tablespoons of cooked cracked wheat and lean salad before 07:00 pm. If you do not eat cracked wheat, you can consume a slice of bread. If you do not want to eat bread, you can consume a bowl of soup. During this diet, you should drink at least two liters of water a day. The water you drink should be one liter for every 35 kilos.Cope With Stress
When you wake up in the morning, drinking lukewarm water with lemon will have a great effect on your weight loss. You can support a 21-day fix meal plan 1500 calories diet by consuming herbal tea. You can also apply the exercises for about 1 hour daily. These exercises not only help you lose weight but also help you cope with stress. You can use different methods, such as meditation, yoga, and outdoor walking, to cope with stress.21 Day Anti Inflammatory DietSample Week at a Glance (Repeat for 3 Weeks)

Frequently Asked Questions
What if I hate a portion container color, like the purple fruit container?
You can swap within categories but not across them. If you dislike fresh fruit, use unsweetened frozen fruit in smoothies, or shift the purple container to lower sugar options like berries. What you should not do is drop the container entirely and add another yellow or red, since that changes the macronutrient balance the plan was built around. Keep the count, change the food inside it.
Can I follow this plan while breastfeeding?
Most lactating people need roughly 400 to 500 extra calories per day above their maintenance level to protect milk supply, which usually puts them well above 1,500 calories. If you are breastfeeding, do not use this bracket without first checking with your OB, midwife, or a registered dietitian. They can help you scale up to a higher container plan that still supports gradual weight loss without dropping supply.
Do I have to drink the Shakeology shake?
No. The shake counts as one red container in the original program, but you can replace it with any protein source of the same size, such as Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, chicken, tofu, or a plain protein shake of your choice. Read labels for added sugar. If you skip the shake, be sure your other reds still add up to three per day so you meet the protein target.
What if I am hungry between meals?
First, check whether you actually ate all your greens for the day, since vegetables add volume without pushing calories up much. If you did, drink water and wait 20 minutes, since thirst often reads as hunger. If real hunger persists across several days, you may be under your true maintenance calories. Consider stepping up to the next container bracket instead of white knuckling through the week.
Can I meal prep the entire week on Sunday?
Yes, and it is one of the easiest ways to stick with the plan. Cook grains and proteins in bulk, roast two sheet pans of vegetables, and portion them into containers matching the color guide. Save salad greens, avocado, and cut fruit for day of assembly so they stay fresh. Most cooked proteins hold for 3 to 4 days in the fridge, so plan a shorter mid-week prep for the second half.
